These terms apply when you use vidstar.app ("VidStar", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. Questions: support@vidstar.app.

What VidStar is

An independent tool that helps you make a short AI video in the style of popular video trends, and explains other ways to make them. It is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the artists, creators, record labels or platforms behind any trend. Song, artist, creator and video names are used only to describe the trends.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or older where your country requires it). If you are under 18, use the site with a parent's or guardian's permission.

Photos you upload and content rules

Everything you upload or create must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, you may only upload photos that:

are of you, or of someone who has clearly agreed to you making a video of them;
do not show anyone under 18;
contain no nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content;
contain no violence, gore, weapons used against people, self-harm or hateful content;
are not meant to harass, bully, impersonate, deceive or defame anyone, including public figures and politicians;
you have the right to use.

Uploads are checked automatically before anything is generated. We may block or delete content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close accounts that misuse the service; content involving minors leads to a permanent ban and a report to the authorities. You are responsible for what you upload and for how you share the videos you make.

Your videos

You keep whatever rights you have in your photos. You may use the videos you make for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as posting them on social media. The trend's music, footage and branding belong to their owners. A soundtrack included in a generated clip does not transfer music rights to you; use the platform's licensed sound options where required when publishing.

AI models and output

Models we use. Videos use Kling O3 through Kie.ai to replace the foreground subject in each trend's fixed reference clip. If Kie.ai can't process a video for a technical reason, the same Kling O3 model may run through fal.ai instead. Processing hosted on Cloudflare attaches the template soundtrack. Uploaded photos and generated videos are checked by SeeAPI. We may switch models; this page will describe the models in use.
AI-generated content. Videos are generated by AI. Results vary, may look unlike the person in the photo, and may contain mistakes. The providers’ own safety filters may block a generation; when that happens, your credits are returned.
Don’t mislead. Don’t present a generated video as real footage of a real event, and label it as AI-generated where the platform you post on asks you to.

Credits and payments

Videos are paid for with credits from one-time packs; there is no subscription. Different trends, lengths and qualities use different amounts of credits. The amount shown on the Pricing page and the Generate button before you start is what a video uses.
Any number of videos mentioned for a pack (for example, "about 3 videos on most trends") is an estimate, not a promise. What you buy is the number of credits in the pack.
Credit packs are sold by Waffo.com Limited as merchant of record, which handles payment, tax and invoices.
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can't be exchanged for cash or transferred.
If a video fails to generate, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
Refunds: all purchases are final, including unused credits; see the Refund Policy. Credits from failed videos are returned automatically, billing errors are fixed on request, and your rights under consumer protection law are not affected.
